Everton ‘offer James Tarkowski £90k-a-week contract as they leapfrog Aston Villa in free transfer race for Burnley ace’

EVERTON have made a £90,000-a-week offer to soon-to-be free agent James Tarkowski, according to reports.
The Burnley defender is out of contract this summer and can move for free.
And according to , Everton are looking to rival Aston Villa for Tarkowski's signature.
The 29-year-old has been offered £90,000-a-week by Everton, who narrowly avoided relegation this term.
The Toffees aren't looking to spend big this summer and the defender offers great value for money.
Tarkowski's current side, Burnley, weren't so lucky in their effort to beat the drop.

The defender would add a wealth of experience to Frank Lampard's backline.
Tarkowski has clocked up 194 Premier League appearances.
The two-capped England defender is also keen to resolve his future before jetting away on holiday.
Rivals Aston Villa have already started the summer strong, already exploring the free agent market.
