Kieran Gibbs returns to England squad for Slovenia clash to replace injured Southampton star Ryan Bertrand in squad

KIERAN GIBBS has been called up to replace the injured Ryan Bertrand in Gareth Southgate’s England squad.
Southampton left-back Bertrand was forced to leave the field early on during the 2-0 win over Malta on Saturday evening.
Tottenham star Danny Rose replaced him despite only just returning from injury himself, and Arsenal man Gibbs will now play back-up ahead of England’s World Cup qualifier against Slovenia on Tuesday.
The 27-year-old has only made two league appearances for the Gunners this season but could be set to increase his ten England caps if Rose is judged to be too tired next week.
Meanwhile, Gibbs is believed to be considering his Emirates future after losing his place under Arsene Wenger to Spaniard Nacho Monreal.
