Yohan Cabaye’s stud-raking on Philippe Coutinho faces FA probe after ref Andre Marriner missed the Crystal Palace midfielder’s challenge on the Liverpool playmaker
Reds' thrilling 4-2 win at Selhurst Park was marred by challenge on the Brazilian star that no official saw

YOHAN CABAYE could be hit with an FA violent conduct charge after raking his studs on Philippe Coutinho’s thigh.
The incident occurred after 55 minutes of Liverpool’s thrilling 4-2 win at Crystal Palace on Saturday.
But neither referee Andre Marriner nor his assistant spotted it.
Coutinho looked amazed but was berated by Palace fans and the incident went largely unnoticed.

Cabaye had just brought the Brazilian down when their feet became tangled together.
But the Frenchman was, at best, careless about his opponent’s welfare.
Instead he chose to go over Coutinho and raked his boot on his thigh as he landed with force.
Given that the Liverpool man was grounded, it could have resulted in serious injury.
Neither of the two managers — Jurgen Klopp and Alan Pardew — were asked about the incident afterwards.
And it remains to be seen if referee Marriner has included it in his match report.
Last week, Tottenham’s Moussa Sissoko accepted an FA charge and received a three-match ban, despite referee Craig Pawson missing his elbow on Bournemouth’s Harry Arter.
