West Ham must pay whopping £2.5m if they want to get rid of flop Gokhan Tore

Besiktas playing hardball as Hammers seek return of Turkish winger who so far has cost them £400,000 a game

WEST HAM have been told it will cost them £2.5million to ditch flop Gokhan Tore.

The Hammers want shot of the Turkish winger even though he is less than halfway through a season-long loan from Besiktas.

Now Besiktas are playing hardball during talks over whether or not to take the 24-year-old international  back early.
Besiktas chairman Fikret Orman said: “We will take Tore back in January on one condition — we won’t pay West Ham back the £2.5million loan money  for him.

“Gokhan wants to come back to Besiktas. We will only agree if they agree over the loan payment. And they are paying his wages in full.”
Tore is trousering £40,000 a week while in England. So with the loan fee, his eight appearances so far have cost the Hammers £400,000 apiece.

At least West Ham boss Slaven Bilic has been boosted by striker Andre Ayew’s return after a thigh problem.
The £20.5million record signing said: “Now it’s about me getting 100 per cent fit and after that I can bring my quality to the squad.”
