Gary Neville names his best Manchester United XI – and there are TWO shock omissions

GARY NEVILLE has named his best current Manchester United XI - and it doesn't include Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
And, in another major surprise, there is no room for Wayne Rooney, either.
But Henrikh Mkhitaryan finally gets a game, having made just one Premier League start for United.

Neville unveiled his top team at the Oxford Union - and he certainly dished up plenty of debating points.
Asked who he would pick were he Jose Mourinho, former United and England right-back Neville replied:
"Well, David De Gea is the easy one in goal. I would then pick Antonio Valencia, Chris Smalling, Eric Bailly and probably Daley Blind at left-back at this moment in time.

"I would then have Paul Pogba to the left in midfield, Michael Carrick, Ander Herrera in there. Then ahead of them, I'd have Henrikh Mikhtaryan to the right and then....Anthony Martial to the left and Marcus Rashford up front.'

On Rashford, Neville added: "When I see Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard on the pitch, it makes me feel proud that Manchester United can be true to itself and its principles."
Manchester United fans will also be interested to see who makes Gary Neville’s ideal 5-a-side team: “The four players I’d play with in my dream five a side team would be Giggsy, Scholes, Keane, and Cristiano Ronaldo.”
The Sky Sports pundit also opened up on quite a few different topics, including how he expected Manchester United to struggle after Sir Alex Ferguson left the club.
He also delved into his own coaching career which came to a halt last season with shocking results at Valencia and with England at Euro 2016, and divulged that he isn't looking to go into management again.
