Spurs reach Europa League after Mauricio Pochettino names strong team

SPURS finally ended their Wembley curse.
But now they face Thursday night football in the Europa League.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men secured their first win in SEVEN games at the home of English football, with Dele Alli and Harry Kane on target.
Kane said: “That’s what we wanted to put right. A lot of people had been talking about it and it’s been a bit annoying.
“It was good to go out there and win that game.
“Now we’re into the Europa League which we’ll be playing here again and we can build on this and go far in the competition.”
Trailing to Alan Dzagoev’s opener, Tottenham hit back through Alli and Kane before a lucky own goal by CSKA keeper Igor Akinfeev clinched third place in Group E.
Pochettino’s men had already lost to Monaco and Bayer Leverkusen under the arch this term.
And the midfielder said: “We had belief in the squad.
“We were dominating and their goal was against the run of play.
“We knew the chances would come and we would win. Thankfully it’s a good platform to build on.”
