ROBBIE SAVAGE has hailed Henrikh Mkhitaryan as being better then Manchester rival Kevin De Bruyne.

Mkhitatyan certainly won the major bagging rights in the city for his scorpion kick goal against Sunderland.

And former Welsh international Savage insisted that Mkhitaryan - the summer signing from Borussia Dortmund - is better than the ex-Wolfsburg midfielder.

Savage asked a caller on 5 Live who he thought the better player was.

The caller chose Mkhitaryan - which went down well with the Welshman.

He said: "I agree with you.

"I watched a lot of Bundesliga and he was brilliant.

"Both are fantastic players but I'd rather Mkhitaryan."

Said Mkhitaryan of his wonder goal: "That was the best goal I've ever scored.

"I was very excited.
