SLEPT IN, BOSS?

Henrikh Mkhitaryan leaves Lowry Hotel for training whilst Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho sleeps in

MANCHESTER UNITED boss Jose Mourinho left his makeshift home at The Lowry Hotel later than usual this morning after appearing to sleep in by 15 minutes.

The 53-year old was beaten to the training ground by Henrikh Mkhitaryan who is also a long-term resident at the luxury Manchester hotel.

Mourinho, who is usually spotted jumping into a waiting vehicle outside the hotel at 7.45am every morning, didn't emerge until 8.00am today.

Meanwhile, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who scored a breathtaking scorpion kick in United's 3-1 win over Sunderland last week, made his way to the club's Carrington training base at 7:50am.

The 27-year old midfielder did his best to beat Manchester's freezing weather conditions and wrapped up warm in a Moncler puffer jacket and a black snood.

But Mourinho opted for less cosy looking outerwear, wearing a gilet and hiding under his hood.

The former Chelsea boss is preparing for his side's tough New Year's Eve clash against newly promoted Middlesbrough.

Mourinho will come face to face with his former Real Madrid assistant and friend Aitor Karanka but has insisted he will 'forget their friendship' come kick off on Saturday.
