Vidal is 29 years old and from Chile.
He was born in the capital of Santiago and came through the ranks of city giants Colo Colo.
Vidal loved horses as a kid and used to cycle six miles to the local stables to look after nags, only to be told one day by his boss to concentrate on his football.
He came from a poor family, along with his five siblings, becoming the 'man of the house' when his alcoholic father was thrown out of their home for setting fire to the bed he and his wife slept in.
Vidal moved to Bayern Leverkusen in 2007, then spent four years at Juventus from 2011 before returning to Germany to sign for Bavarian giants Bayern in 2015.
