Watford transfer news: Hornets close in on deal to bring Fiorentina striker Mauro Zarate on loan until the end of the season
Walter Mazzarri turns to former West Ham man to transform his Premier League strugglers

WATFORD are confident of completing a move for Fiorentina striker Mauro Zarate.
The Hornets have negotiated a deal to take the 29-year-old on loan until the end of the season with the option to make it a permanent switch in the summer.
Former West Ham striker Zarate is struggling for a spot in the Italian side’s squad and the Viola are happy to let him leave.
The Hornets have slumped massively in recent weeks after an impressive start to the season, but club chiefs are determined to back boss Walter Mazzarri.
The move for the 29-year-old striker is not the only piece of business they are prepared to push through to help the manager turn around their form.
