Despite boasting a star-studded line-up including the Ayew brothers, Christian Atsu and Daniel Amartey, Ghana found it difficult to break down Cameroon's stubborn defence.

The Black Stars dominated possession and fired off a number of shots in the second half but Avram Grant was left frustrated on the touchline.

And Ghana's dream of finally reaching the last hurdle was crushed with less than 20 minutes to go when Ndageu-Ndagjui took advantage of a set-piece scramble to lash the ball into the top corner of the net from close-range.

The match was then put to bed moments before the final whistle when Bassogog led a swift counter-attack and slotted in the second.

It means Cameroon will now face Egypt in the tournament's showpiece event on Sunday.

As for Ghana, it means their wait for their first AFCON title since 1982 continues despite reaching the semi-finals six times in a row.
