EVERTON stars have admitted they will need to be ready for Sunderland as the visitors will be "fighting for their lives" when David Moyes returns to his old stomping ground this weekend.

Even though the stands at the Stadium of Light were near-deserted when Southampton walked in their fourth goal against Sunderland during their last Premier League outing, the loyal red and white army are expected to travel in numbers to Merseyside.

Jordan Pickford (knee) and Jack Rodwell (hamstring) are both expected to be at Moyes' disposal on Saturday. Victor Anichebe's knee injury was a bitter blow for Sunderland and it's unlikely he will be fit until April. Lee Cattermole misses out through ongoing hip injury.
Jan Kirchhoff, who has been sidelined since December 14 after suffering a cartliage injury, has been given the green light to resume training this week. Saturday's trip to Merseyside will come too soon for the 26-year old.
