With the move all but going through in 2015 but for a fax machine blunder, Spaniard De Gea is set to finally move back to his home country this summer.

Now, United are reportedly holding firm that De Gea will NOT be allowed to head to the Bernabeu unless they get the German international in return.

As De Gea only penned a new contract shortly after the 2015 transfer fiasco, United are adamant they won't be bullied or low-balled for the stopper this summer.

Should Madrid not bow to the Premier League side's demands, they are expected to instead turn their attention to Chelsea No1 Thibaut Courtois.

Meanwhile, the Old Trafford outfit are already eyeing up moves for AC Milan wonderkid Gianluigi Donnarumma and Inter Milan's Samir Handanovic to replace De Gea.
