Arsenal given boost in keeping Alexis Sanchez as Bayern Munich turn attentions to £44m Atletico Madrid ace Yannick Carrasco

ARSENAL'S hopes of keeping hold of Alexis Sanchez have received a huge boost after Bayern Munich have turned their attention to Atletico Madrid star Yannick Carrasco.

The Bundesliga champions were heavily linked with a move for the Chilean star but it appears as though they are targeting Carrasco instead.

According to , Bayern are set to launch a bid worth £44million for the 23-year-old.

Carrasco has grown into a key player at the Vicente Calderon since joining from Monaco in 2015 and now Bayern are showing huge interest.

But it will be hard for the German giants to secure a move following Atletico Madrid's transfer ban.

Carrasco scored 17 goals in all competitions for club and country last season in 60 appearances.

Despite Bayern Munich appearing to pull out of a move for Sanchez, the Gunners will have to shake off interest from Manchester City and Chelsea.

Although Arsenal are hopeful of tying down Sanchez on a new mega deal, worth £280,000 a week.
