How did the teams reach the final?
Chile have only won one of their Confederations Cup matches so far - the opening game in which they beat Cameroon 2-0.
But their march to the final has not been without excitement, and Chileans will always remember the match against Germany as the moment Alexis Sanchez became the country's record goalscorer.
Claudio Bravo was the hero in the semi-final after a 0-0 draw against Portugal as he saved all three of the European Champions' penalties to secure a swift victory.
Germany drew 1-1 with the Chileans in the group stage and ran out group winners despite naming a changed squad for the Confederations Cup.
And their 4-1 semi-final win over Mexico was a real statement of intent with Arsenal target Leon Goretzka netting twice in the first ten minutes.
