Paul Pogba shows off basketball skills as he sinks bucket against NBA giant Joel Embiid

PAUL POGBA was slam sunk by NBA giant Joel Embiid - after posting an Instagram video of himself gleefully netting a basket against the same superstar.

Manchester United midfielder Pogba put up a short clip where he jinks both ways and launches the ball over the 7ft Philadelphia 76ers hero - and into the basket.

The surprised Frenchman lapped up his success by wheeling away to celebrate.

Then he teased amiable Embiid with an Instagram message: "Pogba beat the buzzer 🏀 splash!! Bro don't get mad."

Embiid, though, quickly got in his retaliation - with a video in which he shimmies past Pogba and soars high for a nonchalant basket of his own.

The Cameroonian posted it on his own Instagram account and added: "The video  doesn't want y'all to see ha "

Former Juventus kingpin Pogba, 24, is in the USA touring with Manchester United.

But he had a time-out with Embiid, 23, on the court after United beat LA Galaxy 5-2.

Then Pogba saw new £75million striker Romelu Lukaku slip his first United goal before Antonio Valencia was sent off in a 2-1 victory over Real Salt Lake.

Pogba will be hoping for a far more impressive 2017-18 than last term after failing to impress many United fans despite his world record fee of £89m.
