Crystal Palace news: Roy Hodgson’s Premier League side stun Lille after making cheeky loan move for Ibrahim Amadou
French club shocked by Eagles' attempts to recruit 24-year-old star just months after they rejected a £13million offer

CRYSTAL PALACE have shocked French club Lille by asking for defender Ibrahim Amadou on loan.
The Eagles had a £13million offer for Amadou, 24, rejected by Lille in the last window.
And now their latest request has also been rebuffed.
They may still try again, with a guarantee of a buy if Amadou signs and helps them to stay up.
The player is believed to be jumping at the option of a Premier League switch.
Amadou can also play as a defensive sitter, but the immediate vacancy is at the back for Palace and Roy Hodgson wants a new face to plug that hole.
The Eagles boss had previously said a centre-back was not a position he was recruiting for until recent injuries.
Hodgson said recently: "The subject of signing another centre-back has never come up because we weren't expecting Sakho and Dann to be out for long periods of time.

"But who knows now? There will be discussions. Football is an ever-revolving subject.

Palace have also inquired about Celtic striker Moussa Dembele, 21.
They have only scored 21 times in 23 top-flight matches this campaign and Hodgson is keen to add further firepower.
The Hoops are desperate to keep hold of their former Fulham hotshot.
But a big-money offer from Palace could prove too hard to resist.
The Eagles took a further step towards safety with a 1-0 win over Burnley on Saturday.
Bakary Sako's strike moved them five points clear of the relegation zone.
