ITALY’S worst-ever top flight team has launched a bold bid to form an Arsenal Old Boys' XI.
Serie A newcomers Benevento, who lost their opening 14 league games, want former Gunners duo Samir Nasri and Alex Song to join new signing Bacary Sagna at the club.
France international Sagna, 34, was a free agent after leaving Manchester City last summer.
Now Benevento chiefs have now made approaches to sign his old Arsenal team-mates too, according to .
Nasri, 30, is without a club after leaving crisis-hit Turkish outfit Antalyaspor last month.
Meanwhile, 30-year-old Cameroon international Song recently won his release from Rubin Kazan after the Russian club reportedly failed to pay his salary.
The trio spent three seasons from 2008 to 2011 together at the Emirates.
Sagna and Nasri both departed for Manchester City, in 2014 and 2011 respectively, while Song joined Barcelona in 2012.

Benevento, based near Naples, finally ended their record-breaking run of defeats on December 3 when goalkeeper Alberto Brignoli headed a 95th-minute equaliser to earn a 2-2 draw with AC Milan.
They got their first Serie A win at the 19th attempt, beating Chievo 1-0, but still lie 13 points adrift of safety at the foot of the table.
