Manchester United stopper David De Gea arguably the best in the world… but statistically he’s nowhere near Peter Schmeichel or Edwin van der Sar
Spanish goalkeeper made yet another world-class save in an exceptional performance to secure a draw against Sevilla

DAVID DE GEA put in yet another supreme performance for Manchester United during their goalless draw away to Sevilla on Wednesday night.
The Spanish stopper, 27, has been by far the best player at Old Trafford for years.
You could even argue De Gea is the best goalkeeper on the planet right now - ahead of a talented pack, including Hugo Lloris, Manuel Neuer and Jan Oblak.
The fact Real Madrid seem to come knocking year-after-year is also telling.
De Gea's heroic save from Luis Muriel's header in Spain only further cemented the claim that there's no one better between the sticks at present.
However, despite that, he's nowhere near Man United legends Peter Schmeichel and Edwin van der Sar, according to the stats.
Incredibly, De Gea comes out dead-last in a whole host of comparisons with the Danish and Dutch stoppers.
In terms of clean sheets the Spaniard is joint-last with Van der Sar - despite playing 41 MORE games than the ex-Ajax legend.
For clean sheet percentages, De Gea is streets behind both Schmeichel and Van der Sar - failing to even break the 40 per cent barrier.
'UNREAL' De Gea hailed by Man United legends for incredible save from Sevilla's Luis Muriel
De Gea, despite playing fewer games than Great Dane Schmeichel, has conceded three more goals.
In terms of minutes per goal conceded, De Gea sits last - again by some distance - at 94.9.
MORE FOOTBALL FEATURES
Compared to the impressive tallies of Schmeichel (105.5) and Van der Sar (116.8), De Gea's feat looks distinctly average.
However, of course a goalkeeper needs help from his defenders - and it's fair to say De Gea is playing behind the weakest defence of the three stoppers.
After all, Schmeichel had Gary Pallister, Steve Bruce and the Nevilles, while Van der Sar had Nemanja Vidic, Rio Ferdinand, Evra and an older version of Gary Neville.
Meanwhile, De Gea has converted wingers Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young, paired with Chris Smalling and Phil Jones.
Perhaps had the Spaniard had the privilege of more playing time with the likes of Rio and Vidic, De Gea's stats would be up there with the others.
