West Brom star Gareth Barry pictured in nightclub night before clash against Burnley

Midfielder faces fury from fans and club as he is seen on night out just one month after allegedly stealing a taxi in Barcelona

WEST BROM star Gareth Barry was pictured in a nightclub the night before his side's clash against Burnley.

Alan Pardew's side sit rock bottom of the Premier League, seven points adrift of Stoke.

But Barry - who was last month named as one of the players who allegedly stole a taxi during a night out in Barcelona - appeared to pose for photos with fans in images shared on social media.

The ex-Man City star is not in the squad for today's home fixture against Sean Dyche's men.

Barry, 37, who holds the record for the most Premier League appearances, is battling a knee injury.

Pardew said he felt "let down" by the players' behaviour in Barcelona and said they had broken their curfew.

No restrictions were placed on Barry - who was apparently in Snobs nightclub in Birmingham city centre - due to his injury.

But his night out could raise eyebrows, especially coming so soon after he apologised for a "breach of the standards of professionalism" in the Spanish city.

Barry, Jonny Evans, Jake Livermore and Boaz Myhill all apologised for their actions.

Police were called after the footballers were said to have driven off in the cab from a McDonald’s drive-through and abandoned it outside their luxury five-star Spanish hotel before going up to their bedrooms.

Evans, 30, Barry, Livermore, 28 and Myhill, 35, were hauled down to a local police station after being dragged out of bed at The One boutique hotel.

Pardew said at the time: "We are having an investigation to get to the bottom of it. It wasn't what we wanted.

"They break a curfew and that is unacceptable and I feel let down by that. The club is clear it has to investigate properly."
