DUSAN TADIC has emerged a shock target for Ajax, if Southampton are relegated, according to reports.
The Dutch giants are preparing for life without Hakim Ziyech who is keen to join one of Europe’s elite leagues this summer.
reckon Ajax want 29-year-old Saints schemer as the Moroccan’s replacement.
The Saints face a crunch game at fellow strugglers Swansea tomorrow night and three points will be a huge boost to their survival hopes.
Tadic spent four years in Holland playing for Groningen and FC Twente before his switch to St Mary’s.
The Serbian international has a contract with Southampton until 2020 and is keen to continue in England under new boss Mark Hughes.

Tadic said: “I think he needs to stay in Southampton because he is a great coach and he’s a coach for Southampton – everyone can see that.
"It would be great for Southampton if he stayed.

“The most important thing now is that we stay in the league but he’s great for Southampton.
“He’s made a big difference. He’s a great coach and he was a great player.
“He’s a good guy and I think his assistants, Mark (Bowen) and Eddie (Niedzwiecki), they are great and they are helping us every day with advice.”
The Saints will be desperate for a win in South Wales tomorrow night, with their final game of the campaign at home to champions Manchester City.
