Everton ‘to appoint Marco Silva as new boss next week’ after Sam Allardyce sacking
Portuguese coach Silva said to have completed satisfactory talks with the Toffees - his arrival could spark further changes

MARCO SILVA looks like he'll be the new Everton manager by as early as next week.
The Toffees are set to name the former Hull and Watford boss as the successor to Sam Allardyce.
Silva, 40, is said to have completed satisfactory talks with Everton officials, with club owner Farhad Moshiri being a long-time admirer of the Portuguese coach.
Indeed, Moshiri tried to get Silva after Ronald Koeman was sacked in October but Watford stood firm.
They did, though, dismiss Silva in January claiming he’d been distracted by the Everton connection.
Now it seems previous threats from the Hornets to demand compensation are not an obstacle to the appointment.
The Toffees in turn gave Allardyce his marching orders after the final game of the Premier League season.
Allardyce saved them from relegation but fans never really took to his style of play.
ART ACHE Arteta’s fight to win over ex-Arsenal pals for manager’s job and get deals for Wilshere and Ramsey
suggests Silva’s arrival could signal further widespread changes at Goodison Park.
