Chelsea transfer news: Maurizio Sarri ready to sacrifice Olivier Giroud AND Alvaro Morata to sign Gonzalo Higuain, according to reports
New Blues boss determined to secure a reunion with his former Napoli striker at Stamford Bridge

MAURIZIO SARRI is reportedly willing to sacrifice both Olivier Giroud AND Alvaro Morata in order to sign Gonzalo Higuain for Chelsea.
The Italian coach was appointed as the Blues’ new manager on Saturday on a three-year deal after compatriot Antonio Conte was finally sacked on Friday.
Sarri, 59, is wasting no time in bolstering his squad, with Chelsea announcing the signing of Jorginho from Napoli yesterday in a deal worth up to £57million.
now claims he is ready to raid Juventus for striker Higuain – another Napoli old boy.
And the report states that he is offering Spaniard Morata as bait.
Juventus are believed to be willing to sell the 30-year-old, who they signed two years ago for £80m, after their blockbuster capture of Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid.
They are looking to recoup a similar figure to what they paid Napoli for the Argentine hitman.
And Giroud, who only arrived in West London from Arsenal in January, looks like he could be another casualty of the new regime.
The Frenchman, who could win the World Cup today with Le Bleus, may soon be looking for another club.
He was seen by Stamford Bridge officials as an alternative to Morata but the arrival of Higuain would push him down the pecking order.
