Who is Seamus Coleman?

The Killybegs native was born on October 11, 1988 - that makes him 29-years-old.

Coleman was originally a Gaelic footballer, before switching when he joined local youth club St Catherine's.

He got his first shot in senior football with Sligo Rovers, spending three years with the League of Ireland club.

How long has Seamus Coleman been at Everton?

The Irish international joined the Toffees in 2009 for just £60,000, making his debut in October of that year in their Europa League defeat to Benfica.

Three days later, he played in his first Premier League gmae, winning the Man of the Match award after coming on as a first-half substitute against Tottenham.

But Coleman struggled to gain regular minutes, spending two months of his first season at Blackpool.

He has gone onto make over 210 Premier League appearances for the Toffees, while featuring 47 times for Ireland since his debut in 2011.

Is Seamus Coleman injured?

The Everton defender played the full 90 minutes in their 4-1 defeat to Wales in the Uefa Nations League, but suffered a stress fracture during the match.

It saw him miss Tuesday's friendly draw with Poland and now is expected to miss the Toffees' Premier League tie against West Ham on Sunday.

But Republic of Ireland manager Martin O'Neill is confident of the right-back being available for the international fixtures in October.

This latest injury sees Coleman's record against Wales go from bad to worse, after spending ten months out with a broken leg he suffered from dangerous tackle by Neil Taylor in March 2017.
