Dusan Tadic with strong contender for worst penalty miss ever in Serbia game
Ajax ace and former Southampton winger gave Riyad Mahrez a run for his money as his effort against Romania sailed miles over the bar

FORGET Riyad Mahrez’s penalty miss against Liverpool… there’s now a new contender for worst spot-kick of all time.
The unfortunate shot was taken by former Southampton winger Dusan Tadic during Serbia’s Nations League clash with Romania on Sunday.
Serbia were awarded a controversial penalty at the end of the first-half in Bucharest, with Romanian defender Gabriel Tamas also shown a straight red card.
It gave Tadic the chance to put the visitors ahead following their 2-0 win over Montenegro during the week.
However, the now-Ajax star decided to take a long run-up with short steps, something that never goes down well with crowds.
And Tadic was left with egg on his face as the ball comically flew miles over the bar and into the stands.
The embarrassing miss comes on the back of Mahrez’s shocking effort during Manchester City’s 0-0 draw with Liverpool before the international break.
The £60million summer signing from Leicester City was given spot-kick duties ahead of Gabriel Jesus by Pep Guardiola – despite having missed three of his previous five efforts.
Mahrez’s wasted chance saw Liverpool emerge from the game with a point to remain level at the top with City and Chelsea.
26 penalties have been awarded in the Premier League so far this season, with 19 of them hitting the back of the net.
