Jayden Stockley is the highest scoring striker in England’s top five leagues who you’ve (probably) never heard of

The League 2 forward has netted 22 goals in 2018 - ahead of the likes of Mo Salah and Harry Kane

JAYDEN STOCKLEY of Exeter City has more goals than any other player in England's top five leagues this year - ahead of the likes of Mo Salah and Harry Kane.

On the weekend the forward scored his 22nd goal of 2018 and his ninth of the season to make him the leading marksman in England this year.

And his prolific form has put him ahead of some of the biggest names in world football.

Salah has hit 18 this year while his Golden Boot rival of last season Kane is one behind him on 17, level with Fulham striker Aleksander Mitrovic.

The ex-Bournemouth striker's goal helped the Grecians to their fourth straight victory and they are second in the League 2 table behind Lincoln City.

Speaking about his feat after the victory against Swindon, Stockley said: "I had a chuckle to myself when I saw my name alongside Harry Kane and Mo Salah.
