Anthony Martial embraces Jose Mourinho on Chelsea touchline after netting twice for Manchester United in 2-2 draw

The forward has had fractious relations with his boss in the past but merited a hug for his brace

ANTHONY MARTIAL and Jose Mourinho shared a warm embrace on the touchline after the Frenchman netted twice for the Red Devils in their draw with Chelsea.

The winger has not always had good relations with the under-fire Manchester United boss - but he earned a hug in the match - which ended in controversial circumstances.

The pair's relationship was reportedly at breaking point before the season began after the player quit Man Utd's pre-season tour to witness birth of second child.

But the French winger deservedly earned a hug from his boss after scoring his second goal - and fans loved it.

However, fans were left bemused after Martial was taken off shortly after his second goal.

The forward was brought off for Andreias Pereira by the Portuguese in the 84th minute.

And the decision came back to bite the boss as Ross Barkley netted a dramatic winner in the 96th minute.

Chelsea move up to second in the league after the draw while Man Utd remain in eighth.
