Unai Emery wants Arsenal’s academy stars to ‘take responsibility’ as stars are rested for League Cup clash with Blackpool
Last season's finalists are looking to reach the quarter-finals with a win over League One opposition

UNAI EMERY wants his young Gunners to "take responsibility" against Blackpool as Arsenal's boss prepares to offer opportunities to academy products.
Emirates chief Emery is aiming to take his team into the League Cup quarter-finals with a win over the League One side.
The Spaniard has one eye on Saturday's blockbuster clash with Liverpool and will take the chance to rest some of his stars and bring in Hale End graduates.
Emery wrote in the club programme: "Each training session is very important for our younger players, and also when the matches come around, we can give them chances to take responsibility to take confidence.
"I think we need every player, including the young ones.
"I remember when I was young and football was the conversation between us in my house every day. My first idea when I had the ball was to play with my feet.
"Then I would start to play with my left foot as well, like a player."

He wrote: "Overall, on Sunday, the draw was not bad.
"We wanted to win but it's not easy. Crystal Palace are a good team and playing there is not easy for anyone, but our challenge is to continue our process of learning in every match."
