Maradona backs Koulibaly over racist chants and claims he also got abuse while at Napoli

DIEGO MARADONA has thrown his support behind Kalidou Koulibaly — after the Napoli defender suffered racial abuse.
The Senegal international, 27, has become the beacon for a huge campaign of support in Italy after he was targeted by Inter Milan fans on Boxing Day.
Koulibaly was sent off during the Inter game and suspended for Napoli's return to their home ground, where they beat Bologna.
But that did not stop thousands of supporters showing their solidarity with the player with masks and banners, who was also backed by fellow professionals.
Maradona, who played for Napoli between 1984 and 1991, has revealed that he too was on the end of vile chants during his time in Serie A.
The 58-year-old said: I played for seven years in Napoli, and I also suffered the racist songs of some fans.
