Barcelona receive £18m offer from West Ham for Everton target Andre Gomes
Hammers lead the way in bid to bag Portuguese midfielder as they look to get the deal done quickly

WEST HAM have offered £18million for Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes.
The Portuguese starred for Everton last season but was only on loan.
According to the , the Hammers have made more than one offer for the 25-year-old who is a key target for boss Manuel Pellegrini.
Gomes starred for the Toffees last season and the club will be nervous about this move as they were desperate to make his loan deal permanent.
West Ham's board - including David Gold, David Sullivan and Karren Brady - have received criticism in the past for their transfer dealings but seem to have moved quickly on this occasion.
But Hammers' fans should not get too excited just yet as Barcelona want around double the £18million the East-Londoners have offered.
The midfielder signed a 5-year-contract with the Catalan giants in 2016 after they signed him from Valencia for £30.8million plus add-ons and Barca seem keen to recoup that cash.
During his loan spell at Goodison Park, Gomes made 29 appearances and notched one goal and two assists in a blue shirt.
He quickly became a fans favourite and Toffees' manager Marco Silva recently claimed: "We must do everything to sign Gomes.
"I know all the rumours around but the most important thing is what comes from Andre and what comes from our club.

"Our board is also important."
It is yet to be seen whether Everton will make a bid to match the Hammers' audacious attempt to sweep him from under their noses.
But after the Toffees were reported to have nabbed Danny Welbeck before West Ham could strike, there may be no love lost over any Gomes deal.
