Man Utd tracking boyhood fan David Brooks but Bournemouth to demand £50m transfer fee

DAVID BROOKS is on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's wishlist this summer at Manchester United.
But Bournemouth do not want to sell one of their key men and would demand at least £50million to even consider parting company with the Welsh midfielder.
Brooks, 21, is a boyhood Red Devils fan and was on the books of rivals Manchester City as a teenager.
The fresh-faced starlet only joined the Cherries last summer in an £11.5m move from Sheffield United on a four-year contract.
But he took to life in the Premier League so well that he was rewarded with a new, long-term deal in March.
Brooks grabbed seven goals and five assists last term and showed great versatility.
Not only did he look comfortable out wide, but also in a No10 role and even in a deeper central spot in midfield.
Eddie Howe would be loath to lose a player he rates highly after developing him into one of the most exciting youngsters in the top flight this term.
United boss Solskjaer has already signed Brooks’ international colleague Daniel James this summer.
The Norwegian sanctioned an £18m deal from Swansea as he looks to rejuvenate his under-performing squad for 2019-20.
Meanwhile, United are keeping tabs on Norwich defender Max Aarons if they fail to land Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
The Crystal Palace right-back is Solskjaer’s No1 target this summer to replace the departed Antonio Valencia.
But they had an offer of £35million plus £15m in add-ons rejected as Palace demand £45m and bonuses for the defender.
