MANCHESTER UNITED begin pre-season with a couple of fixtures that will catch the eye including an old rivalry.

The Red Devils look to improve on their dreadful last season as they finished sixth and missed out on a Champions League spot.

In the coming campaign Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will try and revive the United of old in a bid to achieve a top-four finish.

Where are Manchester United playing?

United's pre-season fixtures are widely spread out, visiting Asia, Europe and Australia so they will hope to not be fatigued going into some thrilling games against a couple of Italy's top sides.

Solskjaer's men will first travel to Australia to play A-league winners Perth Glory on July 13.

They will then go on to take on former rivals Leeds, the sides last met in 2011 when Michael Owen fired home two goals in a 3-1 victory for United.

After the games in Australia the team with then prepare for four clashes in under two weeks against the likes of Inter Milan and Champions League finalists, Spurs.
