Cristiano Ronaldo ‘tells understudy Paulo Dybala he must join Man Utd’ in boost to hopes of transfer swap deal with Lukaku

However, the claim he has asked United legend and current team-mate Ronaldo for his advice in a players’ WhatsApp group over the potential transfer.

And the Portuguese icon is believed to have given it a huge thumbs-up as he advised his pal to join the English giants.

The superstar is said to have told him he became a “champion” during his highly-successful six-year spell at the club.

His endorsement for the Red Devils could prove to be biggest step yet in their continued pursuit of the 25-year-old forward.

Dybala’s time with Juve looks to be at an end and he is willing to leave – but only for the right reasons.

He has been at the club for four years, scoring 78 times in 182 matches, winning the Serie A title each season.

Now Ronaldo’s words could have helped to squash any doubt the South American had over resurrecting his career in Manchester.

Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri is a big fan of Lukaku and would happily fill the void Dybala’s departure would leave with the Belgian.

Maurizio Sarri is an admirer of Lukaku's and his capture will help fill the void left by Dybala, who has scored 78 goals in 182 games during his four years at Juve.
