Fiorentina ‘in advanced talks’ with Franck Ribery over free transfer after Bayern Munich contract expires
ITALIAN giants Fiorentina are reportedly in talks to sign free agent Franck Ribery.
claims the veteran winger could be in line for a short-term Serie A switch after leaving Bayern Munich in July.
Ribery, 36, spent 12 years with the Bundesliga champions and won an incredible 23 trophies.
Reports claimed he had been offered to Everton boss Marco Silva.
But it now seems Ribery is heading to Italy instead.
Fiorentina are keen to add their squad after a fairly quiet transfer window so far.
After finishing 16th last season, beating relegation by just three points, Vincenzo Montella has spent just £11million on three permanent signings – including Kevin Prince-Boateng.
While fans are excited by the return of club hero Milan Badelj on loan from Lazio.

However, Montella still wants to add some creativity in the final third.
And it appears he has targeted Ribery as the man to get Fiorentina back in the top half of Serie A.
The Frenchman is now set to make a decision on his future, with retirement a possible option after former long-time Bayern teammate Arjen Robben hung up his boots recently.
