According to leaked images, Essien has been given a rating of 90 while Drogba comes out on top slightly at 91.

Zinedine Zidane, Pep Guardiola and Andrea Pirlo are just some of the other big names in the game.

But it is the two Stamford Bridge heroes that Blues fans are most excited about.

One said: "I didn't want to spend my time on Fifa Ultimate Team ever again. But EA just announced that Drogba gets a legend icon in FIFA 20."

Another wrote: "Drogba being on FIFA 20 means I'm going to spend a lot of money on Ultimate Team."

One comment read: "I don't want to buy FIFA but if I can have Drogba on my team once again I have to get FIFA!"

A fellow fan posted: "Essien, Drogba, wow. Waiting for Cech and Terry. And my life will be completed."

Another said: "Drogba and Essien can someone say that I am not dreaming."

One Blues fan posted: "Drogba and Essien on FIFA 20 legends squad. This is gonna be lit."

Ivory Coast striker Drogba, 41, who retired last November, won four Premier League titles with Chelsea as well as the 2012 Champions League and three FA Cups.

Ghanaian midfielder Essien, 36, still plays for Sabail in the Azerbaijan Premier League.

He made 168 appearances for the Blues, scoring 17 goals and winning nine major trophies, including the Champions League, Premier League and FA Cup.

FIFA 20 will be released on Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 4 and the Nintendo Switch.

The release date is September 27 but those with pre-order early access can get the game three days before.
