David Gold says West Ham boss Slaven Bilic is not the man to lead England
West Ham boss: 'I'm biased...but I don’t want an overseas England boss. We’ve done it before and I don’t think it will help'

DAVID GOLD does not think Slaven Bilic is the right man to manage the Three Lions because he is not English.
The West Ham co-owner thinks FA chief executive Martin Glenn should rule out a foreign coach.
Gold told SunSport: “I’m biased because I wouldn’t want us to lose Slaven.
“But I don’t want an overseas England boss. We’ve done it before and I don’t think it will help.
“Why have a foreign coach? Next thing, we’ll be wanting a German centre-forward or an Italian defender.”
Jurgen Klinsmann will wait for the FA to make the first move after Roy Hodgson’s departure, it is clear the inquiry will meet with a far more positive response than it has from Gareth Southgate and Arsene Wenger.
