Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino vows to take care of wonderkid Marcus Edwards
The Spurs 17-year-old sensation produced a stunning 30-minute cameo in their first game of their pre-season match

MAURICIO POCHETTINO has vowed to take extra-special care of his Tottenham wonderkid Marcus Edwards.
The Spurs boss saw the 17-year-old sensation produce a stunning 30-minute cameo in the North Londoners’ first game of their pre-season trip Down Under.
Midfielder Edwards showed why he is tipped to be White Hart Lane’s next big thing as he almost helped Pochettino’s team grab a draw against the Italian giants.
Poch, who was without his Euro 2016 stars, said: “I’m very happy with how my young players behaved and their performances too. But it’s fair to pay attention to Marcus, he is very talented.
“He is only 17 — and we must care for him in a very good way.”
Edwards replaced Vincent Janssen on the hour, with Spurs trailing 2-0 to early hits from Paulo Dybala and Medhi Benatia.
England Under-18 ace Edwards’ arrival inspired Spurs, with fellow sub Erik Lamela pulling a goal back on 67 minutes.
