Arsenal fans devastated as record signing Nicolas Pepe left out of squad to play Barcelona in Joan Gamper trophy

ARSENAL fans hoping to see £72million club record signing Nicolas Pepe were left devastated after he was left out of the squad to play Barcelona.
Gunners boss Unai Emery named a strong side to take on the Catalans in the Joan Gamper Trophy.
But the winger from Lille was not among them.
Keeper Leno, Sokratis, new signing Daniel Ceballos and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang were all named in the 21-man squad at the Nou Camp.
There was still no sign of wantaway defender Laurent Koscielny in the side for the match.
The Frenchman was stripped of the captaincy after refusing to travel on the club's tour of USA.
Arsenal completed the signing of Pepe earlier this week.
The wide man posed for his promotional shots to announce the transfer.
The Ivorian only recently returned from a holiday in Miami after competing in the African Cup of Nations last month.
Gunners fans will hope he plays in next weekend's Premier League opener against Newcastle.
