Darley July Cup – Tom Queally and The Tin Man searching for more Group 1 success after Royal Ascot win
The Tin Man won the Diamond Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot on his last start and he is likely to meet a number of his old rivals at Newmarket on the July course
TOM QUEALLY is looking forward to his ride on The Tin Man in Saturday's Darley July Cup.
Queally will bid to claim a third Group 1 success aboard The Tin Man and back up their victory in the Diamond Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot when tackling the July Festival feature.
James Fanshawe's gelding could renew rivalries with Limato and Tasleet, along with taking on Aidan O'Brien's unbeaten Commonwealth Cup hero Caravaggio and runner-up Harry Angel.
Queally said: "It has the potential to be a vintage renewal and one that could go down as an all-time great July Cup.
"We are happy with our guy and his preparation has been very good. You have to respect all the runners as that's the nature of the game.
"We are looking forward to the race. It adds a different aspect and dynamic to the race and it turns it into a sort of a conundrum whether the three-year-olds are up to it.

"I've only sat him once since Ascot, but he felt in good shape and seems to have come out of the race well and is arguably in the same sort of form he was before Ascot.
He added: "I was impressed with Caravaggio and you would have to be as they pulled an awfully long way clear of the rest of the field and he is clearly well thought of by Aidan and the guys at Ballydoyle. Then there is Limato. You can't - and shouldn't - disparage his course form as he won the race last year.
"Everyone will form an opinion and my opinion is that I couldn't be happier with my horse going into the race and James echoes those sentiments as well. It's a race we are looking forward to."
Ballydoyle master O'Brien could have up to six runners in the race with Cougar Mountain, Pedestal, Peace Envoy, Intelligence Cross and Washington DC left in alongside Caravaggio, who is the 5-4 favourite.
Richard Fahey can call on both Growl and Mr Lupton, while Kevin Ryan has Brando in contention.
The entry list is completed by the David Simcock-trained Glass Office and Intisaab from the yard of David O'Meara.
