Roger Varian's three-year-old bounced back in handicap company on Town Moor, but connections are yet to commit him to any future races.

Ted Voute, racing manager to owner Prince Faisal, said: "We've got him in three races - the QEII, the Prix de la Foret and the Challenge Stakes.

"I don't know whether we might go a little quieter than that. I think there are two Listed races we could run him in before the end of the season.

"We took him to France and things didn't work out for him against Group 1 horses.

"Prince Faisal might want to run him in the Challenge Stakes, so we'll see. I remember with Belardo, myself and Roger Varian wanted to go for the Horris Hill and Prince Faisal wanted to go for the Dewhurst.

"Belardo obviously won the Dewhurst, so he was proved right. He's obviously a better judge than we are!

"I think he'll just have one more run this year as he's one we're really looking forward to next season."
