Best horse racing tips for Monday: Sunracing’s top picks for today’s racing at Ripon, Newton Abbot, Windsor and Carlisle

We've had our heads in the formbook and picked out our Monday best bets and each-way chances.

Best bet

2.00 Royal Destiny - Competitive race but Richard Fahey's youngster was a big eyecatcher on debut when running very green. She would have learnt plenty and won't have to be a world beater to take this.

2.30 Displaying Amber -  This girl's best runs have come over 5f and she returns to that today in a weak field. She's near the bottom of the weights and gets the cheekpieces for the first time.

2.20 Angel Of Harlem - Lumbers round a big weight but still ahead of the handicapper in my book. Beaten at odds-on last time but the front pair pulled well clear and the winner has hacked up again since.

Each way

4.20 Chantecler - Small fields make each way betting tricky so it's only top two here but I'm confident Chantecler can take it right to the favourite. Is definitely better than previous two outings.

Windsor

Best bet

6.00 Lovely Lydia - Windsor normally attracts some nice two-year-olds but this looks weak and this filly can take this if she repeats her effort here last time from a terrible draw out wide where she struggled to get involved.

Each way

7.30 Tripartite - Was well fancied to swoop at Windsor last time but failed to get home. Has been written off on account of that but returns to shorter and should be much more of a factor here.

Carlisle

Best bet

6.45 - Whinmoor - Up another 8lbs but on a four-timer and absolutely thriving on the rapid summer ground. 7lb claimer helps reduce some of the climb.

6.15 Dodgy Bob - Former course and distance winner who looks on a very appealing mark. Fifth at Hamilton last time was a better effort than it looked on paper.
