Tuesday’s racing tips: Two longshots to fill your pockets at Ripon and Chelmsford

THE Bank Holiday fun is done and dusted but there's no let up on the tracks with another four meetings on the go.

Ripon, Epsom, Chelmsford and Stratford all offer up some interesting betting heats.

4.05 Ripon - Indian Chief

Rebecca Bastiman's eight-year-old clearly wasn't right last time out and that run can be ignored.

Prior to that he'd been racing to a career best through the spring; and after a bit of time off can hopefully find that form again.

He's 3lbs higher than a course and distance close second. Another run to that level should see him right in the mix again at Ripon.

6.50 Chelmsford - Hyperactive

This is a trappy little heat, but James Fanshawe's three-year-old looks the wrong price after a couple of solid efforts.

She has run far too keenly early on, but has a hood and tongue-tie employed for the first time which can hopefully solve this.

She'd run well considering, and the form of both her starts has thrown up multiple winners. It's likely the form is better than it looks and she's been overlooked amongst some bigger yards in this.
