Best horse racing tips: Sun Racing’s top picks for today’s racing at Sandown, Beverley, Lingfield, Chelmsford, Chester and Newton Abbot

Don't miss out on Sun Racing's best bet and each-way shot at all of Saturday's meetings

IT'S a busy old Saturday with the feature Solario Stakes bound to throw up a useful type for next season.

However, there's plenty of other interest around the country and we've picked out our best bets across the cards.

2

Beverley

Best bet

1.35 Hawthorn Rose - She ran in a strong race on her first start and went well enough to finish a respectable fourth. She's well bred and you have to take note when these connections send a horse to a track such as Beverley.

Each way

3.20 Gamesome - On a somewhat slippery slope but has performed best at this track recently. Better drawn than his recent third and should be right in the mix at a juicy price.

Wolverhampton

Best bet

1.45 Stosur - Ultra consistent horse and drops back into a Class 6 here. Good claimer on board and those at the top of the market look vulnerable.

Each way

4.40 Fool For You - A good race and it makes for a good betting heat. Richard Fahey's runner looks overpriced judged on his York effort and he's drawn well.

Sandown

Best bet

1.50 Haddaf - Lost his way slightly of late but is a Listed winner over course and distance and his class should show dropped into this company. James Doyle is riding and while he'll need luck in running he looks a big price.

Each way

2.25 Restorer - A competitive handicap, but Ian Williams horse looks the wrong price. He won on his first start for the trainer but things haven't fallen right since. He should be a player and it's good to see them sticking with races such as this.

Newton Abbot

Best bet

2.30 Barton Rose - Should really be taking this judged on recent efforts. A couple of others look to have been flattered in recent runs and could help set up the market.

Each way

3.05 Ballinure - It's not often you get a Nicky Henderson horse at a price, but that's the case in this competitive hurdle. He's got to improve on his latest third but that should have tee'd him up nicely.

Chester

Best bet

2.05 Lake Volta - Franny Norton, Mark Johnston and Chester - with a low draw. It's a marriage made in heaven. Plus he's got cracking recent form and looks a top bet in my eyes.

Each way

4.25 Bossipop - Has shown that he's dropped to a decent mark in recent starts and can take advantage at a track he enjoys. The trainer knows how to target a pot and he's got the all important plum draw.

2

Lingfield

Best bet

5.30 Red Starlight - A small field and this filly improved last time on the all weather. She'll take some stopping here, only up 2lbs and with a top apprentice on board.

Each way

6.00 River Cafe - Not the most attractive card for each way betting, but this horse looks on a winning mark and his last couple of runs read okay for this grade.

Chelmsford

Best bet

6.15 On The Line - Much improved on his second start when fourth in a strong race. This is slightly easier and he could be over looked amongst some solid entries.

Each way

8.45 Juliet Foxtrot - Stepped up markedly in trip here, but if she stays she's got a great chance with her Group and Listed form.
