Double-seeking Enable lands plum draw as nineteen are declared for Arc sizzler

The superstar filly has been given stall six in the French showpiece

CONNECTIONS of Enable will be doing somersaults after the draw for the Arc was revealed on Thursday morning.

John Gosden's filly has landed stall 6 while possible main danger Sea Of Class is out in the car park in 15.

They say you need lady luck on your side in the Arc, and Enable appears to have just that.

Having won the race when it was staged at Chantilly last year from stall 2, she has again been handed a plum draw - this time from stall 6.

And her connections will be even more chuffed as this season's star filly, Sea Of Class, has been given stall 15.

William Haggas' contender is likely to need all of James Doyle's significant skill in the saddle to guide her to victory if she's to emulate Treve, who won her first Arc from the same gate back in 2013.

The jockey has been fasting for the last month in an attempt to get down to his lowest weight in years - just so he can ride the Irish Oaks and Yorkshire Oaks winner on Sunday.

Kew Gardens, so impressive in the St Leger, has also drawn the short straw out in gate 14, while big French hope Waldgeist is another out wide in 13.

Other notable challengers include French Derby winner Study Of Man in 19 and last year's runner-up Cloth Of Stars in 9.

Defoe, Salouen, Capri, Way To Paris, Talismanic, Tiberian, Clincher, Neufbosc, Patascoy, Louis D'Or, Hunting Horn, Nelson and Magical complete the field.
