BULLY'S BANKERS

Best horse racing tips for today’s action at Catterick, Ffos Las, Ascot and Kempton from Tom Bull

Don't miss out on Tom Bull's best bet at all of today's meetings

I'VE been let out of the punting pen and am udderly focused on landing some big Friday gambles!

Let's milk the bookies once again as a wondrous weekend of riveting racing looms near.

1

Ascot

2.40 Royal Village - Very few of these are both fit and in form so Ian Williams' contender must have a big chance. He was an impressive winner of a decent handicap at Market Rasen last time out, drawing clear nicely in first-time cheekpieces. The headgear made a difference that day and a 5lb rise could underestimate him. This may be a Class 2 at Ascot but there's plenty of dead wood, so the progressive six-year-old should go close at least.

Kempton

8.45 Imperial Court - Looks a winner in waiting after pushing a Fanshawe good thing close at the track earlier in the month. That was his first start in handicaps and he's only been raised 2lb, which seems very kind. Conditions hold no fears and it would be surprising if he wasn't capable of getting his head in front now, particularly as he's open to masses of improvement.

12.35 Ffos Las - Strong Resemblance

1.50 Catterick - Cloth Cap

2.40 Ascot - Royal Village

8.45 Kempton - Imperial Court

Catterick

1.50 Cloth Cap - Jonjo O'Neill has been rolling back the years of late and his six-year-old was an emphatic winner of a decent handicap at Stratford last time. He's been raised 7lb but that was only his second start over fences and there's bound to be more to come. This is quite a strong race but he's got bags of scope and rates a good shout to follow up.

Ffos Las

12.35 Strong Resemblance - Carries a 7lb penalty for absolutely hosing up at Huntingdon last time and although that was a weaker race, he holds very solid claims here. Due to be raised a stone, he's 5lb well-in and if he jumps as well as he did last time then he should be too strong. It's a poor race and he brings standout claims.
