He appreciated the step up to 2m5f there and this further hike in distance should bring more improvement.
A 7lb penalty for that last win gives him every chance of taking another step forward with so few miles on the clock.
COBOLOBO (1.30 Wincanton) was beaten on the nod on his chasing debut last time out, showing much better form than we saw over hurdles.
He steps into handicap company here off a handy rating that is still lower than his timber one and any improvement should get him off the mark.
His trainer has been in great form this season.

KLOUD GATE (2.45 Leicester) was last seen running on the Flat in the Cesarewitch and, while that was beyond him, he performed with credit on the level this summer.
He showed some promise over hurdles last season and this race won’t take a lot of winning.

Pair him with DYLIEV (3.20 Leicester) who didn’t stay when fourth last time and takes a welcome drop in trip today.
MONEY TALKS: SAAHEQ (8.30 Chelmsford) has been a beaten favourite on his past two starts and the money could be down again today.
IN-FORM: Tom Lacey has had six wins from his past 12 runners so watch his SNAPDRAGON FIRE (2.05) and DIMMESDALE (3.40) at Wincanton today.
FIRST QUEST (3.30 Market Rasen) has had a breathing operation since beating Vive Le Roi at Uttoxeter in July.
That form has been franked in great style since with this trip on soft ground is right up his street.
The handicapper has raised him 10lb for that success but he should be more than capable of defying that.
