VASILIEV was very green on his debut at Kempton in November and did well to finish a close second coming from a long way off the pace. He should improve for that and take a big step forward here.
Mokammal is bred to be classy and showed promise when second first-up at Leicester in October. He steps up from 7f to a mile here which should bring much more.
King Of Change was beaten on the nod at Wolverhampton last time in November and will be fit for this comeback for Richard Hannon.

ENCHANTED LINDA signed off his two-year-old season when beaten less than a length in a good nursery at York in October. He won a couple of times over this trip earlier in the campaign but remains on a fair mark.
Baby Steps may appreciate dropping back to the minimum after his form took a downturn over 6f as the season went on. He will like the ground and his trainer is in good form.

BROKEN SPEAR was impressive when winning by more than two lengths at York last time out in October. That was over this distance and he should be right there again.
Garrus is dropping in grade after a fair fourth in a Doncaster Listed race last time out. He has done all his racing at 6f so far but has enough zip for this shorter distance.
Pocket Dynamo is another who has been performing fairly in stronger races than this. He was considered good enough to run at the Breeders’ Cup last time.
That was beyond him but he was second in the Group 2 Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot in June too.

PILASTER progressed right through the ranks and ended up running in an Ascot Group 1 at the Champions meeting. She didn’t manage that high level but earlier took the Lillie Langtry Stakes at Glorious Goodwood over this trip and anything like that form would be good enough.
Elegiac has a fitness edge on the filly and sees out this trip well. He has a bit to find on form but is open to improvement as a four-year-old.
Amazing Red comes from in-form Ed Dunlop and is fit from a couple of all-weather outings.

Ryan Moore is an eyecatching booking for NEW GRADUATE who won a Thirsk maiden in May before some kind of setback kept him off the track until October when he showed more promise at Haydock. He starts handicapping from a fair mark and has more to offer.
A market move for Bowerman would be interesting on his return from almost 500 days off. He won well on the all-weather a couple of times before his break and is one to keep an eye on regardless.
Ptarmigan Ridge has moved yards since a good second at Newbury on October and new trainer Richard Hughes is upping him to a mile here.

WHERE’S JEFF has crept up the weights thanks to some excellent efforts, with a win at Hamilton and a good run to end the season at the Scottish track. He likes this trip and will appreciate this quickish ground.
Donnelly’s Rainbow went close off this mark when second at Ayr last time out in October. He can miss the kick but if he gets out with the others, he should run well.
Me Too Nagasaki has been running in better races than this and, while he needs to improve, could figure over a trip that suits.

SHE’S APPLES caught the eye on her comeback run at Kempton last month, finishing a good third over a mile. She looked as though there was plenty left in the tank and this longer distance looks a wise move on her handicap debut from a fair mark.
Bo Samraan ended last season showing promise when a close-up fourth over this distance at Newmarket. He will want further than this again as the campaign goes on but can make his presence felt again.
Poor Auld Paddy is stepping up in distance on this handicap debut and hasn’t been asked too many questions so far.
5.15
NABBEYL has shown lots of potential on the all-weather, including when half a length off the pace at Wolverhampton last time out in December. He comes back here stepped up to a more suitable distance and that should bring out the best in him. It will be disappointing if he’s not better than a 77-rated handicapper in time.
Mayfair Spirit is fit from a good third at Kempton last, when half a length off the pace. That was over a mile and there should be more to come over this distance.
Fantastic Ms Fox was an improved third at Wolverhampton last time when upped to this sort of trip and should make a nice three-year-old.
