Middleweight stars Gegard Mousasi and Vitor Belfort linked with Manchester matchup at UFC 204
With a world title event in the UK still to be confirmed, reports in Brazil link top middleweights with pivotal bout at UFC 204

WITH rumours of a big UFC pay-per-view event heading to Manchester in October continuing to gain momentum, reports in Brazil have linked two more top middleweights with a bout at the event.
UFC 204 is rumoured to be set for Manchester in early October, with a world title bout between Britain's own Michael Bisping and Dan Henderson thought to be the headline act.
And now a report from has added another middleweight contest to the mix.
The report suggests Brazil's Vitor Belfort is set to take on Dutchman Gegard Mousasi in a battle between two of the best, most experienced middleweights in the UFC.
Mousasi seems to have turned a corner in his UFC career after a shock TKO loss to Uriah Hall at UFC Fight Night in Saitama last year.
He rebounded with a convincing decision win over Thales Leites at UFC London, then followed up with a superb TKO finish of Thiago 'Marreta' Santos at UFC 200.
Belfort, meanwhile, is desperate to rediscover championship-worthy form after alternating wins and losses in his last three contests.
'The Phenom' hasn't won back-to-back contests since 2013 and has been finished in the first round in two of his last three contests.
And following his first-round TKO at the hands of top contender Ronaldo 'Jacare' Souza, Belfort will be looking to derail in-form Mousasi and make another run at the title.
