JOHANNA KONTA is through to the women's tennis singles quarter-finals after winning a deciding set thriller over Svetlana Kuznetsova.

Konta served for the match at 5-3 but Russian ace Kuznetsova fought back brilliantly to break Konta and extend the battle.
But she wasn't to be beaten again, this time saving three break points to reach deuce to make it 6-5 before seeing off Kuznetsova for good after breaking her for a 3-6 7-5 7-5 win.
