Rio Olympics 2016: Synchronised swimming makes a splash at the Games, stunning and confusing viewers in equal measure

SYNCHRONISED swimming really has been making a splash at the Olympics.
The Games always gives the chance for viewers to watch a sport which is completely alien to them, and many have been both stunned and confused in equal measure.
Russia won the women's duet with a impressive score of 98.5333 out of 100, with China in second and Japan in third.
More from the Olympics
Only one more medal is up for grabs – in the women's team event. The final takes place this afternoon at the Maria Lenk Aquatics Centre.
The slick Russia currently lead the team event after their 'Themes of the City' routine.
Japan summoned ancient traditions in their hypnotising routine, while Brazil incorporated dancing to a rock number.
Greece wowed viewers with a James Bond-themed display, but they did not wow the judges – they finished 10th in place in the women's duet (watch below).
